Virginia Computer Institute was responsible for
working closely with the
teachers, principals and central office administrative staff to ensure
continuity and focus in the delivery of instruction. VCI's primary goal
was to ensure that all of the instructional efforts were focused on providing
the students with the best possible education and to ensure State Accreditation.
Data Analyses and Consulting Specifics:
VCI created Excel spreadsheets from the raw student SOL tests result data received from Pearson. Student Performance by Question, subject and grade specific spreadsheets were created. The spreadsheets provide an easy and quick method of seeing the exact SOL questions that need additional focus. The spreadsheets allow the teachers to quickly determine the students that need additional instruction and acts as a guide for their remediation.
Six weeks spreadsheets were created for all grade levels and were used to track the students six week tests results throughout the school year. The spreadsheets provided a valuable source of information that helped determine the appropriate remediation steps. A spreadsheet was created to track student demographic information and SOL tests scores for all students.
